It’s a connection.
The simple act of making personal, no-strings-attached connections with children, through shared smiles and sweet laughter, brings contagious joy to our classroom. You don’t have to be a comedian or a prankster. We are just open to having a good time together and the rest takes care of itself.
It’s everywhere.
Whatever comes through their yesterday, kids wake up ready to laugh. They’re designed for it. And teaching presents so many silly, goofy, and absurdly funny situations that are just waiting to be noticed and taken advantage of. We keep our eyes and ears open so these wonderful moments don’t pass us by.

Pre-K Lead Teacher
My name is Ireene Tazeem. I am a Pre-K Counts teacher at St. Stephens Daycare. I started working with Pre-K Counts in 2011. I graduated from Chestnut Hill College in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and received my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and received my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Reading in 2010. I believe that early education is very important for enhancement of young personalities. The children learn cooperation; learn to be independent along with academics which allow success in school.
